The coastal hotspot west of Punta Cana is one of the most popular in the country, and much like other resort hubs, offers countless white-sand beaches and excellent views of lush mountains and crystal-clear turquoise waters.

Wyndham has already begun accepting bookings for the new 404-room resort, which will offer guests some of the best and newest amenities in town. It’s a major milestone for the resort chain and the first Alltra property to debut in the Dominican Republic.

Aiming to offer the comfort and opulence of an all-inclusive resort at a fraction of the cost, Alltra derives its name from all-inclusive travel for all. Thus, while the resort boasts some impressive amenities, including a private beach for guests as well as spacious rooms, travelers won’t have to splurge to stay at Samana’s newest resort.

Reflecting on the importance of the new resort, Roberto Garrido, Playa Hotels and Resort’s vice-president said the following: “The Dominican Republic, and Samaná in particular, is one of the most serene and relaxing Caribbean destinations for a getaway, allowing guests to immerse themselves in a tropical oasis while unwinding from their daily routines”

This Is What Travelers Are Looking Forward To The Most

Samaná is an excellent alternative to Punta Cana’s increasingly crowded beaches and resorts. Nestled between mountains and pristine beaches, this coastal destination is a nature lover’s paradise.

From gushing waterfalls to remote tropical islands, Samaná is one of the most versatile destinations in the Dominican Republic and a natural location for Wyndham’s newest resort.

Aside from the excellent outdoor possibilities, Wynhdam Alltra Samaná will have four stunning outdoor pools, as well as a whopping 12 bars, restaurants, and cafés.

And despite its focus on the growing middle-class market, travelers can still find plenty of high-end options in the sprawling resort, including private bungalows as well as unique activities such as horseback riding or golfing.

Travelers can already book accommodation on the company’s official website, with rates starting at $198 per person per night. Aside from its current Samaná undertaking, Wyndham is planning to open a handful of resorts across lesser-known destinations in the Dominican Republic.

The company has announced plans to build up to 18 new properties over the next five years as demand for the Dominican Republic continues to grow at a record pace.
