Hilton Garden Inn La Romana will open its doors in January 2023 in La Romana, a popular resort destination in the southeastern Dominican Republic. The hotel is Hilton’s newest property in the tropical country, which has seen a flurry of new openings in recent months as more and more travelers chose to vacation there.

The new hotel will offer an intimate and comfortable experience for guests – with its 130 spacious rooms, Garden Inn La Romana has all the amenities travelers need for a relaxing stay. Costing over $22 million dollars, the brand-new accommodation covers an area of over 5,000 square meters, where guests will find several luxurious venues and amenities, including a pool, a wedding hall, and a dedicated party area.

Construction of the new property is in the final stages and is expected to be finished by December this year. However, it will formally open in January 2023, when it will be ready to welcome the first guests.

Guests at the new Hilton Garden Inn La Romana will find spacious and luxurious rooms with modern furnishing. Around half of all rooms will face the Caribbean sea, whereas the other ones will have city views of La Romana. Naturally, visitors can expect palm-tree-lined beach views, and the local white-sand beaches are just a stone’s throw away from the property.

Despite the smaller size of Hilton’s new property, the hotel is surprisingly versatile, with several amenities to keep guests comfortable and entertained throughout their stay. Hilton’s onsite dining – as well as two bars – offers hungry guests culinary delights, both local and international. An outdoor pool, as well as the hotel’s fitness center, complete the package.

Hilton Garden Inn La Romana is especially well-equipped to handle all types of events, from business conferences or weddings and birthday parties. The property has several venues to fit guests’ needs.

The new property is part of a wider investment package in the area, known as Costa del Sol, which will house several luxurious apartments, villas, and hotels over the next few years. The area covers some 200,000 square meters and is expected to boost the area’s popularity among tourists, and developers also hope to attract more ex-pats.

There’s also plenty to do nearby the new hotel. One attraction many guests will look forward to is visiting Isla Catalina, one of the most beautiful tropical islands in the Dominican Republic. La Romana is a starting point for many tours departing to the picturesque island, where tourists can enjoy postcard-like beaches: A true Caribbean getaway.

Visitors can also immerse themselves in La Romana’s rich history and culture. The city is one of the largest in the country, with over 130,000 residents. It is served by La Romana International Airport, which has direct connections with several North American destinations, including Miami and New York. Hilton Garden Inn La Romana is just a 20-minute ride from the airport.

Hilton is just one of the many international chains to invest in new hotels in the Dominican Republic. This October, two new Temptation resorts will open their doors to guests. The new adult-only all-inclusive resorts are all about fun and are especially suitable for visiting couples. Adding some 400 rooms to the area’s inventory, the new Temptation properties are set to boost Miches’, a remote eco-tourist destination near Samaná, popularity.

Meanwhile, several of the country’s most lavish resorts in Punta Cana will remain closed until November. Sanctuary Cap Cana, a renowned 5-star all-inclusive resort, is among several properties to delay re-opening while repairs are carried out after hurricane Fiona damaged structures and outdoor areas.
