The Spanish hotel chain Best Hotels has recently announced the construction of a new all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, set to open at the end of the year.
The new resort, Serenade All Suites, will be a 300-room suite-type resort, in close proximity to the Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort. Construction of the resort is currently underway and aims to provide visitors with one of the best vacation experiences whilst preserving the natural landscape of Punta Cana.
The hotel chain is well known in the hospitality industry for its international expansion: as well as operating in the Dominican Republic, the chain manages 12,000 rooms across 38 hotels in Spain and Andorra.
Their first venture into Dominican hospitality occurred in 2019, with the opening of the Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: rated 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor, the resort offers a waterpark and various pools, as well as evening entertainment, a rooftop bar and various eateries.
Guests at this luxurious resort are able to select one of four types of rooms to choose from, each with a view of the mountains, the ocean, the pools or the city.
Whilst the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic shut down tourism to the Dominican Republic between 2020-2021, Serenade Punta Cana has managed to stay open and receive hundreds of bookings for the upcoming summer vacation period.
The new ‘All Suites’ addition to the Serenade brand is expected to accommodate guests looking for an even more exclusive experience whilst staying in the Punta Cana area: constructed just in time to host international visitors as tourism in the region picks up again, the resort is perfect for visitors looking for more space and private amenities in their stay.
All Suites will showcase exquisite balconies and terraces, stunning ensuite bathrooms and spacious living rooms.
As it is adjacent to its sister resort, visitors will be able to select which accommodation best suits them, whilst being able to use all of the amenities that the Best Hotels Serenade brand is famous for.
Both resorts are also conveniently located just 100 meters from Cabeza de Toro Beach and provide windsurfing equipment to visitors looking to add some excitement to their holiday. Both accommodations are additionally 21km from Punta Cana Beach and 8km away from Bavaro Adventure Park, perfect for guests of all ages.
As the All Suites resort will be located close to the beachfront and the Laguna Bavaro lake, special efforts are being made during construction to be as eco-friendly as possible. The lake and surrounding forest are home to rare and native bird species, and also host a wildlife refuge for injured animals.
By encouraging environmental preservation, the new All Suites resort will be in line with the Dominican government’s plans to develop the northeast of the country as an eco-friendly tourism hotspot.
The new resort is expected to draw inspiration from other successful ‘green’ resorts in the country, such as the Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda.
When asked about Best Hotel’s efforts to be eco-friendly, Juan Alcubilla, the corporate General Director of the company stated: “At Best Hotels, we have the firm purpose of providing our guests with one of the best vacation experiences … as well as working on the environmental sustainability of our hotels”.
This year alone, thirteen Best Hotel establishments have been awarded the ‘Travelers Choice Award’, for outstanding hospitality services. The company hopes that Serenade All Suites will follow in these footsteps to become a hugely popular resort for tourists visiting Punta Cana.
