Meliá Hotels International announced this week that Paradisus Palma Real has fully re-opened in Punta Cana after undergoing a massive $40 million makeover. The resort had been closed for some time in order to carry out extensive improvements to the property’s facilities, adding new amenities and improving the guest experience. The resort, one of the largest in the area, is fully operational ahead of the record-breaking winter season.
All of the property’s 596 suites have received a facelift thanks to the renovation, adding modern touches to an already excellent resort. Paradisus Palma Real now also features 58 swim-up suites for discerning travelers, as well as several new and improved adults-only areas. Meanwhile, the resort’s other facilities – including a wide range of fine-dining options as well as a conventions area – have also received new upgrades.
Paradisus Palma Real In Punta Cana – Information For Travelers
With resorts across Punta Cana facing stiff competition from an increasingly luxury-oriented market, properties are always looking for new ways to stand out. Paradisus Palma Real is betting big on a range of on-site services and amenities to keep guests satisfied during their stay.
According to hotel executives, one of the renovation’s main goals has been to use Caribbean-inspired designs and materials to emulate a feeling of being on a tropical beach. Guests can expect to find soft beige tones and wooden textures throughout the renovated property, including the rooms and common areas. The new swim-up suites – 58 in total – come with a private pool as well as a fully furnished terrace offering complete views of the surrounding tropical scenery.
Guests can expect to find plenty of refined services and amenities at the renewed Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana, including 9 dining options. From Asian flavors to classic Italian diners, the resort offers some of the best international flavors on the market. It has also added two new adults-only restaurants, including Flora, which focuses on sustainable local flavors and vegan options, and Malva, a Dominican buffet-style restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
There are several impressive amenities across the massive property, including 11 outdoor pools, a gym, and fitness areas, as well as a unique array of lush outdoor gardens. Guests are invited to explore and enjoy the property’s unique tropical allure.
Paradisus Palma Real has also launched a new luxury all-inclusive service called Nikté. Designed for the most demanding guests, Nikté at Paradisus by Meliá offers several exclusive services and benefits to discerning travelers, including upgrades, personal butlers, priority dinner bookings, as well as pampering at the property’s YHI Spa.
Couples staying at the luxurious resort can opt for the exclusive The Reserve, an intimate and adults-only facility that includes everything from the private beach and pool access to several services, including a fine-dining Mediterranean restaurant. It also comes with 152 suites, the ideal choice for adults looking to get away from it all.
The renovation has also made improvements to better integrate Paradisus Palma Real with the property’s lush surroundings, which feature natural tropical elements. Situated on the award-winning Bávaro beach, guests staying at the high-end resort can enjoy access to one of the world’s top-rated beaches, complete with stunning palm trees and plenty of outdoor fun.
With plenty of tropical greenery to go around, Paradisus Palma Real has launched Destination Inclusive, a completely new way to experience the area’s stunning surroundings. The immersive experience is meant to give guests a feel for the local area as well as its culture, showcasing elements of local nature and lifestyle.
