The new property will be called Wyndham Grand Torre Everest Santo Domingo and will become one of the country’s tallest hotels once construction is complete in spring 2025. As a novelty, the hotel will feature one of the most impressive rooftop dining venues in the Dominican Republic.

Wyndham’s new hotel will have 22 floors containing not only lavish rooms but also a range of amenities and services to meet guests’ every demand. Construction of the new property is already well underway, and over half of the hotel’s floors have already been built. According to hotel executives, the new 5-star hotel will have 252 lavish and spacious rooms distributed across its 22 floors. From modest single rooms all the way to top-floor premium suites, Everest Wyndham Grand will cater to a range of travel needs, both domestic and international. All of the hotel’s rooms will have a contemporary feel to them, in line with other modern resorts being built in the Dominican Republic.

Travelers will also find several impressive amenities in the new hotel, including two new restaurants, conference spaces, a gym, and room service. Wyndham is also largely focusing on the growing business travel segment and is hoping to attract more companies and digital nomads to the country’s growing capital.

Although Santo Domingo is the capital and the largest city in the Dominican Republic, the metropolis lacks the all-inclusive allure found in Punta Cana, Samaná, and Puerto Plata. That being said, the city – the oldest in the Americas – is home to some impressive cultural and historical attractions that make it a must-see. Santo Domingo’s old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with copious historical monuments such as Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación, built in 1550.

Wyndham, one of the largest hospitality firms in the Dominican Republic, has revealed ambitious plans to build up to 18 new hotels and resorts in the Caribbean island over the next few years, including Canis Dazzler Santo Domingo by Wyndham y Caribbean Dazzler Juan Dolio by Wyndham. According to the hotel giant, aside from focusing on the likes of Punta Cana and Puerto Plata, it aims to build new properties in more remote locations to take advantage of the Dominican Republic’s vast tourism potential.
