There are big plans in store for Larimar City, Punta Cana’s newest cutting-edge resort and residential district. Just a stone’s throw away from downtown Punta Cana, guests will find everything from a 5-star resort to shopping and entertainment venues at the new complex. Larimar City combines comfortable living with high-tech solutions and modern amenities to provide guests and residents with an all-around versatile experience.

In response to changing travel and living needs, the Spanish construction firm CLERHP has been hired to oversee the implementation of the new project. Inspired by Dubai’s all-inclusive luxury, the new intelligent city as it’s being described will have everything travelers need to meet their needs.

Larimar City is a 2,7 million square meter development inspired by Mediterranean-style avenue buzz infused with tropical surroundings. Once complete, the district will be the first hybrid development of its kind in the Dominican Republic. Situated atop a hilly plot of land near Punta Cana, guests from both the hotel as well as the residential areas will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding nature.

Esposito, EV’s Chief Intellectual Officer, “International demand for our hotels has grown, and we are proud to serve our Dominican clients with new IoT technologies (internet of things).”

The goal, according to the hotel, is to make staying at the lavish property more comfortable, by leveraging automatization processes to lower wait times and improve room maintenance, for example. Another key feature of the new development is the abundance of high-tech fitness centers aimed at both hotel guests as well as Larimar City residents.

Entertainment options will also be varied, with a golf cour, casino, water park, and shops found throughout the huge development.
