Marriott has announced the name and location of its newest luxury undertaking in the Dominican Republic.

The Maryland-based hotel chain is launching a brand-new 160-room hotel in Santo Domingo, one of the country’s fastest-growing destinations.

The new property, officially named Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo, is the latest hotel to be announced for the country’s capital, which has seen a flurry of new openings.

This week, Marriott became the latest International firm to reveal more details about a new property in the trending destination. The leading U.S. hotel group is building a 17-floor property with 160 lavish rooms right in the heart of the capital’s downtown area.

Providing excellent access to the city’s main hotspots, including the vibrant Estela María district and the old town, the new hotel is perfectly situated for a quaint city getaway.

Much like Hyatt’s new Centric property, which will also be conveniently located close to major attractions, Marriott will provide affordable and high-standard accommodations for both business and leisure travelers.

The property will boast five different room categories, allowing for plenty of flexibility for all price points, as well as a comprehensive set of on-site amenities.
