According to the Dominican Republic’s tourism minister David Collado, current plans will see an additional 2000 rooms built in the coastal destination over the following years, with at least three luxurious resorts planning to open over the next 12 months.

Zemi Miches

Zemi Miches is a brand-new lavish all-inclusive resort slated for opening sometime in 2024. The high-end property will have 502 rooms overlooking the destination’s virgin beaches and towering mountains.

The all-inclusive property will be operated by Hilton and is set to join the brand’s growing Curio Collection, which currently operates in 90 hotels around the world.

The sprawling resort will occupy a stunning stretch of prime beachfront real estate along Playa Esmeralda, one of Miches’ most iconic beaches. The massive property will boast six four-story buildings and a handful of upscale bungalows, guaranteeing each guest their own slice of tropical paradise.

Secrets Playa Esmeralda will add 250 luxuriously-appointed suites to the town’s growing inventory and will be a strictly adults-only resort. Viva Wyndham Miches Resort

Wyndham is also working on a massive $60 million 750-room resort in Miches, where it will offer both adult-only and family-friendly options. The mixed-use property will have a total of 486 suites for families and around 264 for adults.

The beachfront resort will house several spectacular outdoor amenities, including a massive pool with ocean views. With its focus on live entertainment, Via Wyndham will boast a massive amphitheater with space for 1,100 guests. It’ll also feature a nightclub and ice cream parlor for all guests to enjoy.

Meanwhile, three bars, a buffet-style eatery, and separate facilities for members of the Viva Club make this upcoming resort one of the largest with regards to its on-site amenities.
