With carriers like Frontier, American Airlines, and Sunwing Airlines planning a 15 to 30% increase in the availability of seats to Caribbean destinations, the Dominican Republic is front and center in the eyes of most carriers.

Open Skies Treaties 

The Dominican Republic and Canada signed the Open Skies Treaty in February of this year, paving the way for cheaper flights and more regular flights between the two nations.

As a result, a record-breaking number of Cadnadidn travelers are expected to flock to the tropical nation in 2023. New projections show that over a million Canadians will visit the Dominican Republic this year as more airlines launch routes to the warm destination from all major Canadian hubs.

The airline will operate a handful of direct flights to Canada this year, including to Toronto, boasting some of the cheapest rates on the market. With a large and modern fleet, the airline hopes to open up new connections to the United States later this year or next year.
