Casa de Campo Resorts & Villas in La Romana, a popular resort town in southeastern Dominican Republic, is undergoing a massive expansion and renovation of its highly successful resort. At a cost of more than $90 million, the overhaul is set to add 64 new luxurious suites to the property, as well as an expansive spa complex and VIP lounge.
The ongoing renovation is a big milestone for the region, which is seeing plenty of new hotel openings in the next few months, including Hilton’s Garden Inn La Romana. David Collado, the Dominican Republic’s minister for tourism, was visiting the construction site at the Casa de Campo Resorts & Villas to oversee the new project.
With tourism arrivals set to increase over the following months, likely propelling the Caribbean country to a new all-time record for international tourism, hotels and resorts across the Dominican Republic are renovating their properties. For Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, the ongoing makeover is an opportunity to spruce up an already excellent resort and help attract new clients in a highly competitive market.

The renovation program is ambitious: It will add 64 luxurious suites to the property, complete with luxury amenities, to provide guests with the finest comforts. Aside from the new spacious accommodations, the resort is also building a huge new spa complex, where clients can sit back and relax after a day of touring the resort’s grounds.
As part of the massive investment package, 4 new two-story buildings will be built, which will house the new 76-square-meter suites. Guests can look forward to some amazing views of the surrounding golf courses – one of the most popular in the country – and all suites are fully equipped with cutting-edge amenities. From lavish materials to modern comforts, Casa de Campo isn’t cutting any corners with its makeover.
The new spa is also set to attract potential tourists, who can relax in the luxurious 1200-square-meter spa, which will feature world-class treatments and facilities. Guests can find an array of specialized services, from hydrotherapy to relaxation suites, as well as a Café & Juice bar. A view of the property’s own lake completes the exclusive spa experience.
Tourists are already showing great interest in the upgraded property and are rushing to book available rooms, even before the official opening planned for December. In a statement on his social media, the country’s tourism minister said, “we visited the construction site of the new Casa de Campo, which will be ready in December this year. The occupancy rate at the new property is above 90% until April 2023. We congratulate Casa de Campo for its excellent work.”
